    Buddy, Buddy, Buddy,

What has happened to your youthful figure????? How much do you weigh now???? I hope it isn’t over 35 pounds or my human will be concerned. Boy Cardigans should only weigh between 35 and 38 pounds. I weigh about 33. Too much weight can cause problems for your back, so please tell me you aren’t overweight!

If you are—get on the treadmill Brother Buddy of mine.

      Hi! Sammy!
The vet said Buddy should lose a little weight (Buddy doesn’t want to talk about it). We’ve cut down his food a little, no treats, and one more walk every day or two. We’ve cut off access to the cereal cabinet and trash. No more sneaky eating. Play dates with Luke help. A lot of exercise with me is to little for him. We certainly don’t want any back problems! Thank you so much for your concern. We’ll let you know how he doing.

P.P.S. Do you get ice? The vet said no ice! Not good for teeth. What do you think?

I don’t get big ice cubes, but sometimes I get crushed ice in my water at the dog shows. My human’s refrig has crushed ice and cubes.

Probably would follow vet’s advice, don’t want to break those pretty chompers.

    Hey Bud-
I really like the picture. Luke says you got his good side. Take a really close look, the Big Guy has a great figure. You can feel each of his ribs and the vet says he is in good shappe. Don’t you worry, you are doing just fine!!!!! (Luke has your back too. ) And maybe your head is getting bigger…(LOL)
Luv to you and your person.

Uh oh! Buddy-boy, don’t let Sammy know that his sis is up to 31 pounds at her last vet check. Vet didn’t say anything, but….I’m worried now that Sammy is going to be after me to get her to slim down a bit. Why, oh, why were you Corgis cursed with the want-to-eat-forevers??? My old golden retriever and shepherd/rottie mix would leave food in their bowls. They also ate out of the same bowl AT THE SAME TIME! Even a treat like ice cream! Darby and Bonnie can’t even eat in the same ROOM let alone from the same bowl!! You might have a few pounds to lose, Bud, but you are one handsome dude. (So is Luke, but I have a weakness for the short, long and tri-colored!)

Okay, it’s the weight police. Miss Darby you are getting close to the max, 25 to 30 pounds for girls. But watching you and Bonnie play, I bet it is all muscle. But you know when girls start getting older, it gets harder to keep the weight down. So maybe one less snack a day?

My human just put Daddy Rocco on a diet. Seems the weight has been creeping up since he has slowed down now that he is eight years old–so it’s not just us pups that have to watch our weight.

I just want you and Buddy (and hopefully Pumpkin) to all stay healthy and strong.

      Your brother Sammy

If it weren’t for the food thing. we corgis would be perfect and that would be hard to live with.

    Hey, Sammy.

Darby wants to know if you were the first born. She thinks you act like a first born–bossy, oops, I think she meant CONCERNED–about your siblings.

    Hee hee! (-:

    Seriously, thanks for the advice!

Yes I was, so I am the senior pup here. I was the biggest and badest the day we were born. So you all listen to your older brother–you hear!

Darby (who is eyeing the cat and licking her chops because her person cut back just slightly on her food ration this morning) says, “I KNEW it!!!” (-:
