It’s Me, Buddy…We want to thank the firemen…

They saved the mountain! We had a fire on our mountain yesterday! Lots of firemen came and put it out quickly but not before it burned some trees and a lot of grassy area. It didn’t get to the mountainside. For safety sake, they evacuated a daycare. The children are our friends so we were glad they were safe.  No homes were in danger! Hurray for the firemen! They are our heroes!

Phew! It made us cough!Burned side!

The firemen were between the fire side and this side of the trail! We are so glad!

So sorry part of your mountain is hurt. But mountains are resliant, it will come back, probably bigger and better than before. Be careful not to run through the burnt part, especially Bear, you’ll get your feet all black and sooty.

  6. We love firefighters, too! They saved Darby’s and Pumpkin’s neighborhood from the Cedar Fire in 2003. It burned just to the edge of the houses where firefighters from Santa Clara county made it stop! I’ll never forget the young firefighter stationed in our backyard who said “We won’t let your house burn, ma’am.” Thank goodness — and the firefighters — that your mountain is only hurt a little.
